My real names are Ephraim Osagie Oviawe. Ephraim, my first name was given to me by my mum,why Osagie my second name was given to me by my grandmum,which means “God sent;” Oviawe my grand dad’s name.

How come about the name E-niggi?

It was given to me by some teachers when I was in secondary school because of the way i dress, talk and if i am talking its like i am rapping because then i talk with rhythm. In my dressing code i sag a lot. When any of the teachers comes into the class they always ask any of my class mates where is ephraim? The “niggi” is what my classmates started calling me and then came ephraim the niggi,in abbreviation “E-Niggi.”

Heartbeatboy was given to me by my streets fans, showsfans, djs & show promoters because of my styles, my attitudes, my lyrics and always representing where i came from (Benin City) the heartbeat of Nigeria. I started rapping since 1989 but then i didn’t know what is called lyrics. In 2003 i was in a group called tt which means thentics men, i went solo 2004,because some of then where selling us out,. I am a songwriter, screenwriter and i can do anything in entertainment, act etc.
